Vikings vs Packers: Green Bay Overcomes Injuries, Peterson for Big NFC North Win

TJ Lang and Jordy Nelson both went down with injuries during the course of the game while Adrian Peterson lit the run defense up for 210 yards and a touchdown, but that didn't stop the Packers from walking away with their third win in the NFC North this season.

Head coach Mike McCarthy brought in some added help in the form of his running backs and fullback John Kuhn to help bolster the line, which allowed just two sacks on Rodgers.

Rodgers, for his part, spread the ball around pretty effectively and used his feet to keep plays alive. Sometimes it wasn't all that great an idea, but for the most part it was pretty effective.

The pairing of James Starks and Alex Green was very effective against a shaky Vikings run defense.

Speaking of run defense, they had no answer for Adrian Peterson. Overall though, the defense as a whole did a great job shutting down the Vikings receivers. They did struggle a little to contain tight end Kyle Rudolph, although once it was clear Christian Ponder was hot-locked on him, they used that to pick Ponder off.

Even Rudolph's day topped off at 50 yards, showing that with a little pressure the secondary can be very effective especially against an uninspiring group of receivers.

With the win, and a loss by the Chicago Bears, the Packers have won a share of the NFC North title and even have an edge due to their stomping of Chicago in Week 2.
