Red Sox Blog Accusing Jeter of Hurting Youkilis

Bronx Baseball DailyMar 21, 2009

There is a Red Sox blog called Boston Dirt Dogs that is complaining that the World Baseball Classic is doing quite the number on their players, and thinks that Derek Jeter may have had something to do with Kevin Youkilis’s ankle injury.

They don’t say a whole lot, but they did have this nugget.

“Things That Make You Go Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm: USA Manager Says Youk Injury Happened ‘3 or 4′ Days Ago. So He’s Jumping Around Like Crazy On His Bad Ankle and Foot After the PR Win?”

And these pictures showing that if Youkilis had injured his ankle three or four days before it came out to the public, he certainly wasn’t feeling it while celebrating with Jeter.

Though the pictures are hardly incriminating toward Jeter, Boston Dirt Dogs does make a good point.

If Youkilis was injured days before this celebration, what is he doing jumping up and down like that? Sucks for the Red Sox.
