O yee of little faith.

Having had a rocky start to our debut round of betting, we redeemed ourselves this week striking gold with two of three predictions that has almost brought us back to an even- keel.

Now it is time to move out of the red and into the black.

It started shakily once again this week, as Carlos Vela made little to no impression during Arsenal’s now notorious victory over Hull (we bet £6.15 on the Vela/Arsenal double at 12/5).

But just as it looked possible that we may need to reinvest, the cash register starting popping as St. Etienne and Werder Bremen played out a 2-2 draw (we bet £5 for more than 2.5 goals at 11/10) before PSG gave us our second winning ticket knocking Braga out the UEFA Cup (we bet £5 says on PSG to win at 9/5).

As is becoming standard practice, we have once again gazed into our crystal ball and chosen to invest our current balance of £24.50 as follows:

1. Saturday in Belgium sees ninth-placed Germinal Beerschot and second-bottom Tubize travel to second-placed Anderlecht and fourth-placed Racing Genk respectively. Both hosts are strong favourites for the home with and accordingly we are putting £10 the double home win with Anderlecht priced at 4/9 while Racing Genk are 2/9. (Match odds here & here.)

2. Arminia Bielefeld host high-flying Wolfburg on Saturday. Wolfsburg are having a tremendous season, sitting third in the Bundesliga with Edin Dzeko in a goal-scoring purple patch having hit five goals in his last four matches.

Expecting another high-scoring German affair we are betting £5 on there being more than 2.5 goals in the match, priced at 8/11. (Match odds here.)

3. Two of Spain’s most exciting team meet on Sunday night as Atletico Madrid, terrible at the back and lethal up top, travel to unbeaten in seven-matches Mallorca. Another goalfest should materialise, and Diego Forlan could well continue his hot-streak which has seen him grab nine goals in his last nine outings.

Once again we are looking at the double, risking £5 on the Forlan to score (11/8) and over 2.5 goals (7/10) double. (Match odds here.)
