Arsenal are looking to make some changes in January as the club continues to struggle to find its top form in the English Premier League this season.

Despite a early showing, the Gunners have been stagnant as of late, falling out of the top six of the league and continuing to not make the most of their opportunities.

The January transfer window looks to be their closest opportunity to make the moves that could be all the difference the side needs for their second half, with the most talked about rumors of the week here for your reading pleasure.

Thierry Henry

Former Arsenal great Thierry Henry continues to be linked with another return to the Emirates during the January transfer window after his experience last season was so successful.

The Guardian were one of the first to break the story and it continues to gain ground with the New York Red Bulls' season having come to a close in the past week.

Henry would be a great boost to the club's attacking squad even if only for a month-and-a-half.

Theo Walcott

The belief that winger Theo Walcott will make an Emirates exit in January continue to mount.

Although manager Arsene Wenger does not want to see his pacey right-winger leave in January according to ESPN, it is potentially out of his hands if the player maintains the position of wanting to play as a striker and not a wide forward.

The desires of Walcott to have a more central role will be the end of his Arsenal career, and the club may choose to at least make a profit on him by selling him in January rather than losing him on a Bosman transfer in the summer.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been linked with a low cost transfer to Arsenal by the Mirror this week for a fee of only £6 million.

The talented Dutch attacker was the top scorer in the German Bundesliga last season, but so far has been slightly off the mark this campaign.

A move to the English Premier League would see him finally have his full European tour of the top four leagues completed after already spending time in Spain with Real Madrid, Italy at AC Milan and of course Germany with Schalke.

Wilfried Zaha

The Mirror reports that Arsenal have confirmed their intentions of making a move for Crystal Palace youngster Wilfried Zaha in January.

According to the sources of the rumor, the Gunners are set to make an initial offer of £7 million.

At that price the Emirates club are likely to fail, with the expected sale price expected to reach close to £15 million or higher, but it's a start.

Edin Dzeko

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Manchester City super sub and former top German Bundesliga marksman Edin Dzeko by the Guardian.

The talented attacker has been a saving grace for the defending English Premier League champions on a number of occasions this season, but he is still left out of the first team more times than he is in it.

With a desire to get more time on the pitch, a move to the Emirates could be positive for the player and see the Gunners take from Manchester City for once rather than only giving.

Stewart Downing

A rumor that has Arsenal fans fired up all around the world is the potential linked between the Gunners and out-of-favor and out-of-form Liverpool winger Stewart Downing.

The Week has the former Aston VIlla man set as a £10 million target for the London club, but is not likely one that would see any Arsenal supporter too happy for it to take place.
