UPDATE: Friday, December 14 at 2:25 p.m. ET by Matt Fitzgerald

Tony Softli of ESPN has the latest on Amendola's status ahead of the Rams' critical Week 15 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Both teams are hanging on to the playoffs by a thread, and it looks like St. Louis will have its top wide receiver, while the Vikings are without their dependable weapon Percy Harvin, who was recently placed on IR. That should give the Rams some kind of advantage on Sunday.

UPDATE: Sunday, Dec. 9 at 11:30 a.m. ET by Adam Wells

Coming off that emotional victory against division-rival San Francisco last week, the Rams were hoping to keep the good news rolling heading into this week's showdown against Buffalo.

Unfortunately, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, it is not meant to be, as Amendola has been ruled out of today's game.

Amendola hasn't played since Nov. 25 against Arizona, when he had just one catch for 38 yards. Injuries have derailed a promising season for the 27-year-old, as he has been limited to just eight games.

UPDATE: Thursday, December 6 at 10:53 a.m. ET

Good news for Rams fans and potential fantasy owners as Danny Amendola returns to Rams practice in limited fashion yesterday, according to St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Kathleen Nelson.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola and linebacker Mario Haggan were on the practice field on a limited basis Wednesday, as the Rams began preparation for the Buffalo Bills.

Amendola suffered a heel/foot injury Nov. 18 against the Jets and has spent the bulk of practice sessions on the sideline in a walking boot.

He did individual drills on the sidelines Wednesday, as did Haggan, who wore a brace on his right elbow, also injured against the Jets.

Despite previous reports about Danny Amendola being unlikely to play, he is active for the St. Louis Ram's matchup with the Arizona Cardinals

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter.

Amendola is the team's leading receiver and his presence will help the team against a tough Cardinals defense.

UPDATE: Friday, November 21 at 2:55 p.m. ET by Rob Goldberg

According to the Rams official Twitter account, Danny Amendola is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

After missing time with a broken collarbone earlier in the season, the receiver is now dealing with an injured foot.

Brandon Gibson and Chris Givens would both be in line for more targets if Amendola does not play, but neither can truly replace the talented receiver.

UPDATE: Wednesday, November 21 at 4:50 p.m. EST by Timothy Rapp

Probably nothing to be too concerned over just yet, but Amendola did not practice on Wednesday, according to the Rams official Twitter account:

I would still assume he'll play on Sunday. Still, monitor this situation closely.

UPDATE: Sunday, November 18 at 2:45 PM EST by Sam Westmoreland

Good news for Rams fans; according to ESPN's James Walker, Amendola has returned for the second half:

In other words, the Rams passing game will have it's best target, and gives them a chance to keep contending in this game.

----------END UPDATE-----------

According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Amendola's heel is the source of concern this time around.

Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post reported that Amendola was commanding a lot of attention from personnel on the sidelines.

Kimberley Martin of New York Newsday is reporting that Amendola is on his way to the locker room to get examined.

According to Michael Fabiano of NFL.com, Amendola was taken to the locker room. Tests will be conducted to determine his status for this game and beyond.

If you recall, Amendola had to sit out three games with a shoulder injury he suffered on a Thursday night game against Arizona in Week 5. During that time, the Rams' offense scored just 41 points.

Amendola returned last week against San Francisco and had 11 catches for 102 yards. He also had a long reception in overtime that was called back due to a penalty. The Rams scored 24 points against the league's best scoring defense en route to settling for a tie.

We will keep you updated on Amendola's status for Week 11 and beyond as more information becomes available.
