Personally, I think the Packers will have another nine-plus win season and make yet another run in the playoffs!

Sure they have the loss of Bret Favre, but a still young and fairly mobile Aaron Rodgers could certinally direct a powerful and explosive, yet efficent, offense.

As we saw in the game against Dallas, Rodgers who had not thrown a pass all season, steped up and led the offense to multiple long drives. He showed his mobility as he scrambled for a few first downs. I feel that he will step up and it will be a long shot, but maybe make the Pro Bowl.

The return of a healthy Greg Jennings and Ryan Grant will be huge for this team. As those two continue to develop into Pro-Bowl type players, this offense keeps getting better.

The return of always reliable Donald Driver will also be a key part of this offense. Also, how about the emergence of James Jones and Donald Lee? Those two could also play a big part in this offense. The O-line is young, but gets better every year, as a unmobile Bret Favre's sack total has gone down each of the last three years!

Possibly one of the best defenses in the league keeps on getting more experience and almost all return at full strength. This defense is the youngest in the league. As they get more playing time, they will continue to get better.

You can't say enough about Aaron Kampman and his passion for the game. I don't think he ever gives up! Barnett, Harris, and Woodson are huge parts of this defense! How about Poppinga and how good he did in the playoffs? He played like the defensive player of the year! I will look for him to do great things this year!

As the NFL's youngest team continues to get more experience, they will become more of a feared team in the NFL. I look for them to make the playoffs this year as possibly a wild card team, but they will play many close games and possibly supprise some teams down the stretch and through out the season!

Any thoughts or Questions?

The talent that Green Bay has is undeniable. Hopefully the players like Grant and Jennings continue what they showed (legitimated superstar potential) this year and in the future. Also, hopefully the Packers don't lose any of the up-and-comers to free agency when contracts are up in the next few years.
As far as Aaron Rodgers - it is a stretch that he could go to the pro-bowl, but if the Pack can find a way to win 10 or more games, who knows? Tony Romo made it to the pro-bowl - the media likes young blood.
Hopefully Rodgers can manage the offense that Favre pretty much coached in 2007. I too think they are at least a wild-card contender.

The good thing is that other than Favre, the Packers are returning much the same as they did last year. The team is made up of very young players that will only improve with increased experience. The 2007 season and playoff run dramatically heightened their experience and awareness. They have felt the pressure and will learn from it. Aaron Rodgers, while largely unproven, demonstrated that he does have the guts to go in under pressure and lead the team. He outperformed Brett Favre in the Dallas game. He came in down 27-10 and led the Packers to within 3 points and had a legitimate shot at winning that game.

That was the Packers biggest game of the season and Rodgers was up to the task. He also threw his 1st NFL TD in that game so a lot of stress is taken off of him. He has the confidence in himself and from his team that he can perform well under pressure. Dallas's defensive coordinator said that he didn't change a thing when Favre when out. I think Rodgers has what it takes to be a good NFL QB. The Packers are a balanced team that looks to have a solid running game unlike in the past when Favre had to carry the team. There should be less pressure on Rodgers.
