With the month of November quickly flying by, it is almost that time again, when we will be blessed with terrific college football games being played for almost a month straight.

While we will find out all of the bowl matchups, we will also see which two teams will battle it out for the BCS National Championship. With the latest BCS rankings being turned upside down this week, the possibilities for the big game have opened up tremendously. There are many teams that have a realistic shot and quite a few different matchups that could take place in Miami, Fla.

As we inch closer to the best part of the college football season, here are some of the best and worst BCS National Championship scenarios.

Worst: Notre Dame vs. Oregon

How This Matchup Could Happen

Kansas State loses one of its two remaining games, while Oregon and Notre Dame finish as the top two teams in the BCS rankings.

Why You Wish It Didn't Take Place

No matter how great Notre Dame's defense may be, Oregon is too much of a scoring machine to be shut down for the entire game. The Ducks may not score 60 points in this contest, but they will score a good amount of points because that is what great units do.

After seeing Notre Dame struggle to put points on the board against some of the worst teams in college football, you have to believe this game could get out of control very quickly. The Irish have only scored 30 or more points three times this year, and they would need to repeat that just to stay competitive in this game.

Best: Alabama vs. Notre Dame

How This Matchup Could Happen

Oregon and Kansas State lose at some point down the road, while Alabama and Notre Dame finish as the top two teams in the BCS rankings.

Why You Would Watch

No matter how badly you think Notre Dame would lose in this game, there is simply so much history with both of these programs that you wouldn't be able to turn away. If you added both of these programs' accomplishments together, you'd end up with 25 national championships, eight Heisman Trophy winners and well over 100 consensus All-Americans.

A meeting between these two powerhouses hasn't taken place since 1987. If everything worked out to where this was an actual possibility, expect to feel the magic in your living room as you watch the big game.

Worst: Georgia vs. Anybody

How This Matchup Could Happen

Notre Dame, Oregon and Kansas State all turn into the 1978 Boston Red Sox at the same exact time. Georgia then goes on to win out, including pulling off an upset victory over Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

Hey, anything can happen in college football.

Why You Wish It Didn't Take Place

Truthfully, with Georgia at No. 5 in the rankings, it is not impossible for the Bulldogs to sneak into the big game if a few things go their way. But even with the team only losing one game all season long, you just don't get the feeling that this is one of the better teams in college football.

While the club is playing better, only one victory over a ranked team all season doesn't show us how good this team actually is. The last thing we would want to see in the championship is a team getting blown out by one of the teams at the top of the polls.

How This Matchup Could Happen

The top two teams in the current BCS rankings do their job and remain at the top at the end of the year.

Why You Would Watch

Starpower sells, and you would have a bunch in this matchup. The high-flying Oregon Ducks attack, led by an entire roster that can score at any moment, versus the Heisman front-runner on the other side in Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein will make for an exciting game.

Unlike last year’s national championship, you will see points scored.

You would also watch just to see if Kansas State could actually win a national championship. After all, this is a program that has only won one conference title since 1934 and has only appeared in 15 bowl games all time. The little guy would finally get its chance in the BCS era.

How This Matchup Could Happen

Oregon finds a way to lose, while Kansas State and Notre Dame finish as the top two teams in the BCS rankings. A loss from Alabama in the SEC Championship Game wouldn't hurt either.

Why You Wish It Didn't Take Place

Remember how boring last year’s national championship was? This has the makings of a similar matchup all over it.

We already know Notre Dame can't move the football with any consistency and would likely struggle against one of the better defenses in the Big 12. But the Irish have shown that they can bottle up the opposing team's offensive star, which would make for a long day for Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein.

The first team to score 10 points may end up winning this game, which wouldn't be enough to wake you up from that nap.

Best: Alabama vs. Oregon

How This Matchup Could Happen

Alabama wins the SEC Championship, while Kansas State loses. Notre Dame losing would help as well, but Bama may not be needed due to its strength of schedule and how much the pollsters love the Crimson Tide.

Why You Would Watch

We all want to see how this year’s Oregon Ducks offense can fare against a top-notch defense. We saw the spread of Texas A&M abuse the Crimson Tide, but the Ducks run something a little different and don't exactly have a Johnny Manziel running the plays. Head coach Chip Kelly would also have to add a few wrinkles with Nick Saban having a few weeks to prepare for this game.

But the SEC has won the last six national championships, and you would like to see a team from that conference at least have a chance to defend the crown.

These are arguably the two best teams in all of college football (regardless of what happened last weekend), and you would watch just because these two clubs are so different in style.
