Final thoughts
Great win for Real Madrid! The champs rarely even looked at their best and were pretty poor in the first half, but still managed two goals before the break.
Los Merengues made it clear who the better team was in the second half and did not allow a single shot on goal all match.
Mallorca are in trouble now. They now sit in 11th place in La Liga after suffering their fourth straight loss and could fall to 12th depending on the result of tomorrow's match between Valladolid and Real Sociedad.
Real 5-0 up at Mallorca, Callejon gets in on the act. Mou's side up to 4th.

Full time!
Barcelona scores five against Rayo Vallecano to move eight points clear of their rivals?
No problem, says Real Madrid as they match the score against Mallorca.
90'—GOOOOOL CALLEJON!
Could have been a tricky tie for Real Madrid tonight but they have returned to form! smashing Mallorca!

87'—Off target
We're just minutes from time and Mallorca still have not managed a single shot on target.
Will they get one before the final whistle? It looks highly unlikely.
Mallorca made two substitutions as well: Marc Fernández and Arizmendi came on for Victor and Giovani. #realmadrid #halamadrid

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first #RealMadrid hat-trick (of 17) in 4-1 win at Mallorca in May 2010. Higuaín scored the other goal that day.

79' Albiol comes on for Alonso. #realmadrid #halamadrid

80'—Real Madrid sub
Albiol comes on for Xabi Alonso as Mourinho uses his final sub.
Alonso looked to have tweaked his hamstring so Madridistas will hope the injury is nothing serious.
77'—Real Madrid
Higuain comes off after a fantastic performance as Morata takes his place with just over 10 minutes to play.
GOOAAAAL! and Cristiano Ronaldo gets his brace too! Mallorca 0-4 Real Madrid

What a ball by Higuain!

74'—Real Madrid sub
Jose Callejon gets to play the last 15 minutes as Angel di Maria comes off for the forward.
More on the goal
Barcelona score five, you say? There are still 20 minutes left in this one so give the champions a chance.
Real Madrid execute another perfect goal from the run of play to makes this one a shame.
Di Maria sends a ball to Higuain who takes a perfect one-touch turn before sending Ronaldo through for a clean goal.
73'—GOOOOOL RONALDO!!
More on the goal
Who says Ronaldo can't pass?
CR7 finds space in midfield and sends a superb through ball for Higuain who takes a perfect touch before curling his shot around Aouate.
This match is now over.
70'—Goooooal Higuain!!!
Caparros will regret his decision not to start Pina in this game, Mallorca look far better with him. #LaLiga

64'—Mallorca a non-threat
The hosts got their first decent chance to score in the second half and it took almost 20 minutes to do so.
Arizmendi sent a cross in, but Hemed never got a chance to shoot and ended up being dispossessed.
This match looks over already with Mallorca failing to get anything going.
60'—Sub Mallorca
Gio dos Santos has been taken off for Arizmendi. Let's see if anything will comes from this change.
60'—Madrid in total control
We've reached the hour mark and Mallorca just look out of it. There is no bite, no fire from Caparros' men.
