FC Barcelona: 5 Bold Predictions for the Champions League Visit of Celtic

0 of 5

FC Barcelona will face Celtic this Tuesday in their Group G UEFA Champions League match. The venue will be at Barca's Camp Nou.

    FC Barcelona

La Blaugrana remains in first place in the Group G standings after defeating Spartak Moscow and Benfica.  It was not an easy task for Barca in its first match against Spartak Moscow.

Lionel Messi saved FC Barcelona from defeat after Dani Alves scored an own goal for Spartak Moscow.  Barca recovered and left Benfica scoreless in at Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the home stadium of the Portuguese side.

FC Barcelona currently remains in first place in the 2012-2013 UEFA Ranking scale

    Celtic FC

Celtic FC is No. 63 in the 2012-2013 UEFA Ranking scale. After a scoreless draw against Benfica, Celtic defeated Spartak Moscow.

Giorgios Samaras and the own goal by Spartak Moscow's Dmitri Kombarov were the contributing factors.

An invitation is sent to B/R readers to see the following slideshow dedicated to the match between La Blaugrana and Celtic.

What is needed is to sit back, relax, and enjoy the slideshow.

5. Gary Hooper

1 of 5

Gary Hooper (Celtic FC forward) is expected to play a prominent role in this match. He will bring an element of surprise to the match with two goals in the first few minutes.

Hooper scored one goal during the match between Celtic and Spartak Moscow.

4. Giorgios Samaras

2 of 5

Giorgios Samaras is another Celtic FC forward who could bring a surprise element to the match. He stunned Spartak Moscow with a last-minute goal.

Samaras will do a repeat performance with one or two goals if Barca is not careful.

3. Cristian Tello

3 of 5

Cristian Tello will repeat his performance from Riazor and score one or two goals.

2. Lionel Messi

4 of 5

Lionel Messi will have a repeat performance (on a lesser scale) of the match between Barca and Bayer Leverkusen. He will rescue Barca from defeat with a hat trick used against Deportivo La Coruna.

Messi will score three or four goals in the match against Celtic.

1. Barca Victory

5 of 5

While La Blaugrana is expected to win its match against Celtic, it is not expected to be easy. Carles Puyol will not participate due to an elbow injury.

Celtic appears to be ready for this match after defeating Spartak Moscow. Both teams are expected to show resistance in their defense.

The result will be a close match with the following score.

    FC Barcelona 6-5 Celtic FC

The following bold predictions are my personal opinion. They may or may not occur during the match.

My thanks to the B/R readers for their time spent with this slideshow. Best wishes to all of you until the next time.
