Wilshere's long-anticipated return should be great news for Arsenal fans: The promising 20-year-old hasn't made an appearance for Arsenal in over a year while battling a series of nagging ankle injuries that required surgery.
Wilshere's return to Arsenal is a bit ahead of schedule as it was reported by The Telegraph on October 1 that he wouldn't be considered for Arsene Wagner's squad until the end of the month. After a successful run against West Brom's reserve squad, it appears that the timetable has been accelerated a bit.
Norwich would seem like a perfect opportunity to work Wilshere into the lineup. The club is 0-4-3 on the season and currently sits at No. 19 on the table. By contrast, Arsenal has put together a solid campaign thus far and comes in at No. 7 with only one loss.
Wilshere has played well in Under-21 matches during his recovery. Given the struggles of Norwich City, there shouldn't be too much of a difference in the competition. How many minutes he is allowed to play in the match will be a key storyline to watch.
If Wilshere can make a successful debut against Norwich City, it'll be a huge boost to the depth of an Arsenal club that is already having a great campaign in the EPL this season.
