Luckily for Kevin Iole, our 7-year-old Akita female is a house dog, so there is plenty of room for him in Grandma's doghouse.

The last I knew, a barn cat was living in the aforementioned doghouse, so Kevin, with the catty remark he made about Matt Hamill, will feel right at home.

While reading the MMA news on the Internet, I found an article wherein Kevin Hunt questioned his readers about whether they felt that Matt Hamill's victory celebration after knocking out Mark Munoz with a kick to the side of the head during the first round of their match was excessive.

It was Matt's home state, he came out to the Ohio crowd's favorite song "Hang on Sloopy," which had everyone revved up and was completely exhilarated to have accomplished his "first ever" knock out.

Matt Hamill has been deaf since birth and cannot receive verbal cues from his corner during a fight and is therefore at a big disadvantage while fighting against hearing fighters.

His opponent was downed for an exceptionally long time and a stretcher was brought into the ring, although after oxygen was administered, Munoz was able to leave under his own power.

After the fight, Matt apologized to Mark and his corner in the locker room.

While being interviewed in the center of the octagon, Matt could not hide his joy and kept bouncing around and smiling.

His first-ever knockout! He was consumed with joy!

I do not think he was as aware of the amount of time his opponent was out as a hearing person might have been.

He is a very compassionate person with a big, generous heart and I do not think he wishes ill to anyone...not even his archenemy Michael Bisping.

Kevin Iole, who has never been deaf that I know of, thinks otherwise and think that Matt's celebration was in poor taste.

Well I say "Phooey on Iole!"

Unless he has walked a mile in Matt Hamill's shoes, I don't think he has a right to criticise him.

Is Kevin Iole even a MMA fighter?

Oh well, I agree with Kevin Hunt that Hamill was so happy that Munoz being in distress was not evident to him as he celebrated and talked with Joe Rogan, who apparently was not concerned enough to postpone the postfight in ring interview.

The fact that Matt's joy was a distraction at a time when one was needed to keep attention from the violent consequences stepping into the UFC octagon can lead to, was probably fortunate for Dana White and his organization.

So Kevin Iole is in the doghouse as far as I am concerned, and furthermore, my beautiful dog Misty does not care a bit!
