Wayne Selden, the No. 14 overall recruit in the Class of 2013, committed to Kansas today (Monday). ESPN National Recruiting analyst Paul Biancardi made the announcement.

Selden was rated the No. 2 SF behind Jabari Parker, who is currently ESPN.com's No. 1 overall player for this year's seniors.

At 6'5" 220 lbs, Selden is a power wing that relentlessly takes on any defender and gets to the line as much as any other SF.

Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Eric Bossi said, "I wouldn't call him a shooter, but he's a big-time athlete. He makes plays happen off the dribble. The kid's 230 pounds, and it's not because he's chubby. So physically, he's ready for college basketball."

ESPN's Adam Finkelstein added this about Selden, "For all of his physical tools and developing basketball skill, though, what truly sets Selden apart from others is his mental edge."

KU head coach Bill Self already has commitments from a pair of four-star guards, PG Conner Frankamp and SG Brannen Greene.

If you put this backcourt bunch with the frightening frontcourt talent in the Class of 2012, it doesn't take much to see the Jayhawks making frequent Final Four runs in the next few years.
