The Blues hope to keep their place at the top of the table not only this weekend but for the foreseeable future if their owner has anything to do with it.

Europe's top talent continues to be linked with moves to the Blues side of London, and it seems it will only a few months before there is certain to be more major activity happening at Stamford Bridge.

The current trend at the club of out with the old and in with the new looks set to continue this winter and throughout the next couple of transfer periods, and the most-linked potential new recruits are as follows in the slides to come.

His impressive strike rate since his time at FC Porto continues to follow him as he currently is the joint top scorer in La Liga alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

ESPN is just one of multiple sources that have linked the player with a move to Stamford Bridge in January. However, his major transfer price tag is likely to keep it from happening.
