WWE RAW: Who Needs Paul Heyman More, CM Punk or Brock Lesnar?

Over the past few weeks, we have seen Paul Heyman align himself with WWE Champion CM Punk, after Brock Lesnar announced his "retirement" from WWE.

However, over the next few months Brock will come back on a war path, and Paul Heyman will be left to make the choice between the two "Paul Heyman guys." The question is, who needs him more?

As soon as CM Punk got into a car driven by Heyman, interest between hardcore wrestling peaked. It added an extra dimension to the Straight Edge Superstar, as his quest for respect was quickly becoming stale.

However, it can also be argued that Punk doesn't need Heyman. He was the WWE Champion before, and was a great on the mic and had many great feuds over the past year, such as Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler.

In contrast, Brock Lesnar has no voice without Paul E. Before his match at Extreme Rules with John Cena, we saw Lesnar stumbling on the mic, and the reins were quickly switched over to Heyman. The feud with Triple H would have been nonexistent without the contribution of The Voice of The Voice of The Voiceless. To really get the most out of Lesnar while he's under contract at WWE, he needs Heyman.

The image of Heyman grasping the WWE title every week will bring a wry smile to most ECW fans, and it will be interesting to see the role he plays at Hell in a Cell, specifically in the Vince McMahon and CM Punk feud that seems to be coming over the horizon.

The role of Heyman as the former owner of ECW, and as a wrestling purist, perfectly contrasts to McMahon, and could see this volatile pot boil over.

On the other hand, Lesnar could have a solid feud as a main event feud just from his presence. So does he need Heyman, or can he just be a silent destroyer?

It will be interesting to see the developments over the coming months, and whether WWE let CM Punk go solo again, or if Brock will be immediately put alongside Paul E, or maybe the fans dream of a stable.

In the end, it would be predictable to put him back with Brock, and he probably does need him more.
