One of nation's top recruits in the 2014 class, Andrew Wiggins, has decided not to attend Kentucky's Big Blue Madness this Friday. This information comes from Evan Daniels of Scout.com.
The news was originally reported behind the iron curtain of premium access, but it has now been confirmed and repeated by multiple sources, including Steve Jones of the Louisville Courier Journal and and Tom Hurley of the Kentucky Kernel.
It was initially reported back on October 2 that Wiggins would in fact attend the Big Blue Nation's season opening extravaganza, but he has now decided to use the three day fall break to go back home to Toronto and spend time with his family.
Kentucky Wildcat fans, however, shouldn't be too worried. Wiggins as already stated that he plans to visit Lexington this season (also per Steve Jones) and still seems to be a very strong UK lean.
What UK fans should pay attention to instead is whether or not Wiggins reclassifies to the class of 2013, which could potentially make Kentucky's 2013 incoming group one of the greatest collections of talent in college basketball history.
