It Finally Happened, Vince McMahon Is Suing Numero Uno, Joe Burgett of B/R!

Joe Burgett by Senior Writer Written on March 08, 2009

For about six months now, I have been on B/R doing cutting edge breaking news articles. Of course I get this news from different people and sites. My inside man however was fired this past week, and of course I am now out of the loop.

As you have noticed I have not been writing as much lately, only one or two articles at the most. But I digress, heck I can still use sites right? Oh well.

Yesterday, I received a letter from none other than Vince McMahon. I was so excited to see it, I could care less what it was about. Just the fact that it was addressed to me from the WWE was all that mattered.

It said in this letter and I quote:

"Mr. Burgett, I have seen this now very well-known site called The Bleacher Report. I noticed that there is a wrestling section and you write in it. The rankings say you are No. 1 in the section.

I noticed you write a lot of news articles giving away spoilers and storylines to the Bleacher Report audience. But I was not so concerned about that as I am that you stole a RAW script from the WWE.

I saw the article you wrote about it, and I followed the link to the site you posted on the article from pwrestlingnews.com. I found out you also work and write for this site.

When I approached Cornilious Wilson, the editor of the site, he mentioned that they received the script from you and you alone.

He said you asked another writer to post it to hide the fact you found the information. Therefore as of today, I am getting my lawyers to sue your ass off.

You have stolen private property from World Wrestling Entertainment and you will be prosecuted."

When I got this I knew I had been framed. I do work for the site in question, but did not get this script myself. Heck, who wants to get sued, right?

Vince does look at B/R as many of us know by now. Heck, Shane Howard, a B/R Wrestling Writer recently put out a breaking news article about Vince not liking our site because it has better storyline ideas than the WWE creative team.

Of course that is how he found out about my little article. And now I have a lawsuit on my hands. It is tough being No. 1, now I guess Josh Swell will have to officially take over the breaking news articles.

I seem to beat him by at least one minute everytime with mine, so now the pressure is off Josh. I can't write, most likely I will be in prison. If he doesn't get me here, Vince will at least find another way to sue me.

So to all out there, don't steal a script from Vince McMahon, you will pay.
