Ladies and gentlemen, if you are in need of some help at the flex and wide receiver James Jones is available in your league—or you've already added him to your lineup—he's an excellent start this weekend.
No, it's not because the Green Bay Packers' wideout had a huge game last weekend, catching five passes for 56 yards and two touchdowns.
No, it's not because he's been a major part of the Green Bay offense to this point, because he hasn't been. His 16 catches for 191 yards and three touchdowns are decent marks, but his 23 targets are hardly inspiring.
Nope, it all has to do with this tweet from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:

With a very favorable matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, Jones' value takes a huge boost now that Jennings has been ruled out (and Jordy Nelson becomes a clear WR1 as well).
The Colts are 27th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers per week, are giving up 321 passing yards per game and have allowed five passing scores in three games. The latter numbers aren't terrible, but they have played the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars this year.
Yes, there is the possibility that Jermichael Finley might have a huge game, or Randall Cobb could be Rodgers' best friend rather than Jones. But given what he did last week after Jennings was limited, I think you have to really like him once again this week.
So go ahead and add Jones as a flex this week. Mark him down for 8-12 fantasy points, and enjoy the show. I expect the Packers' passing game will be in full effect against the Colts, and Jones will reap the benefits.
