Tonight, current UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, will battle his fifth straight former champion in Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort. Belfort is a massive underdog going into the fight, and rightfully so.

Belfort is a middleweight moving up to light heavyweight, and he hasn't fought at the division in seven years in the UFC. Jones has made all of his opponents look small, but Belfort will likely look the smallest of them all.

Jones has plenty of ways that he can win this fight, so let's explore the keys to victory for Jon Jones at UFC 152.

First of all, Jones has to do what he does in every fight, and use his reach. He can pump the jab, keep Belfort at bay and throw big strikes when he sees the opening.

Second, if Belfort tries to swarm Jones, Jones has to clinch up with Belfort or shoot on him. If Belfort hits you, he swarms you, and if he does swarm you, you may not be on your feet for much longer.

This plays perfectly for Belfort, as his primary striking weapon consists of landing a big shot, then swarming his opponent. Jones' defense consists of taking a big shot and trying to back away.

So obviously, the third thing that Jones needs to do is not take the big shot from Belfort, and if he does, do not run away backwards.

Finally, Jones will have to use some of his bread and butter, and take Belfort down and beat him up. Jones will have a significant weight advantage, and should be able to control Belfort with ease.
