Arsenal made a lot of big-money changes this summer, in stark contrast to the club's usual dealings during the transfer window.
The big sale of the summer was Robin van Persie to Manchester United, but the sale of Alex Song to Barcelona was also a huge surprise.
With that being said, those departures were enough to make up for the financial outlay that brought in not only Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud, but others as well.
Arsene Wenger showed his financial savvy by making shrewd signings and sales to make sure that his transactions were in line with both the club's transfer philosophy and financial fair play.
Despite the many moves already made, the Gunners could make more in January if the buying climate continues to prosper.
Here are several players that could potentially be on the club's radar come January.

Spanish international winger and Sevilla star Jesus Navas was reportedly on Arsenal's radar for much of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old has spent his entire career with the southern Spanish club, but a move could be in his future.
The Daily Star is just one of several sources that linked the player with Arsene Wenger's side this summer.

Newcastle midfield general Cheick Tiote continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal at IBTimes.com.
Tiote would make a decent replacement for the departed Alex Song, and a great seat warmer until Emmanuel Frimpong comes of age and eventually claims his place in the Arsenal midfield.

There has been no official link between Barcelona midfielder Javier Mascherano and Arsenal, but it would not be totally out of the question.
Since moving to Barcelona, Mascherano has never been a permanent fixture in the first team.
A potential return to England could be something that would both help Arsenal and the Argentine's career.

French international and current Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila has been continually linked with Arsenal for the better part of the past year.
However, according to ITV Sport, there was never a concrete offer between the two clubs.
With that being said, the 22-year-old is likely still a key target in the eyes of Arsene Wenger.

Edin Dzeko emerged as a surprise Arsenal target on the final day of the transfer window, according to IBTimes.com.
Nothing happened, and Sergio Aguero's current injury has allowed Dzeko to receive more playing time at Manchester City. However, it's not inconceivable that the club could make a winter move to secure the forward as a partner for Olivier Giroud.

Kieran Gibbs and Andre Santos are the two toss-up choices for Arsene Wenger at left-back this season. They are both excellent in attack, but seem to struggle in defense.
Arsenal need an all-around defender, and could potentially solve this issue by signing Cheikh M'Bengue from Toulouse, according to the IBTimes.com.

The London Evening Standard linked AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes with a move to Arsenal in the closing days of the summer transfer window.
A move that could potentially solidify the center of Arsenal's defense would be a wise one to make, with only Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny and Thomas Vermaelen sharing the duties as things stand.
Isco

Arsene Wenger added Santi Cazorla from Spanish side Malaga this summer, and could head back to the financially-strapped club once more this season.
Metro reports that Caught Offside linked Cazorla's former midfield partner Isco to the club last month, and the move could still potentially occur in January.
