Following a trend first started by The Undertaker during the months leading up to WrestleMania 28, The Game—Triple H—has gotten rid of his iconic long hair.
The story was first leaked by the online celebrity news site TMZ.com, and although the site does not report on why the Cerebral Assassin has gotten rid of his long hair—a feature of Triple H's look since his 1995 debut—the site does make the assumption that it might have something to do with the recent Brock Lesnar SummerSlam storyline.
WWE.com has a different take on the situation, calling the new hairstyle part of Triple H's "new corporate look."
It still remains to be seen whether or not Triple H's new look will be incorporated into an upcoming storyline—though if he is indeed following in The Undertaker's footsteps, it may just be that he was getting tired of sporting long locks.
Although it is doubtful that an official explanation will be given—beyond the WWE.com report already discussed—Triple H's move will remain a strange one for long-time followers of the WWE COO's career.
Maybe the move had to do with Triple H's placement on the The Boston Phoenix's Top 100 Unsexiest Men of 2011 last year.
