The Yankees are down in Sarasota, Florida today to take on the Cincinnati Reds. The pitching match-up is RHP Alfredo Aceves vs. RHP Aaron Harang. Both will be making their spring debuts today. This will be the last game for both Derek and A-Rod, before they leave for the WBC. Enjoy the game.

  • CC Sabathia’s simulated game was scratched because of poor weather. It is now planned for tomorrow.
  • Jorge Posada’s shoulder felt better today and he might DH tomorrow.
  • Edwar Ramirez has not started throwing yet.
  • Jason Johnson has been cleared to start throwing outside and will throw a 35-pitch bullpen tomorrow.
  • Kanekoa Texeira has the flu.
  • It’s drizzling, very windy, and the tarp is on the field at Ed Smith Stadium. It should clear up for game time.
