Fantasy Hoops Waiver Wire Bin Vol. 15

Ryan LesterFeb 27, 2009

I’ve scoured the fantasy baskeball waiver wires to find gems so you don’t have to.

G
Francisco Garcia, Sacramento
- The trade with the Bulls sending John Salmons out of town has worked out for Francisco.  In his last five games he’s averaging 15.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 1.6 threes.

He shot 49.1% from the floor, 89.5% from the line, and 42.1% from three.  He has a $1.72M cap number in the Sporting News salary cap game, and is owned in 65.7% of ESPN and 61% of Yahoo leagues.  He qualifies at both SG and SF.

Rasual
Butler, New Orleans - Butler has been money of late.  In his last five games he averaged 17.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.8 steals, 1.2 blocks, and 2.8 three pointers.  He shot 50% from the floor, 66.7% from the line, and 51.9% from three.  He’s has a $0.70M SN cap number, and is owned in just 4% of ESPN and 30% of Yahoo leagues.  He also qualifies at SG & SF.

F
Dominic McGuire, Washington
- McGuire has been hitting  the boards.  He has snagged 14 in two of his last three games.  In his past four games he averaged 8.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks.  He shot 52% from the field and 90% from the line.

He has a SN cap number of $0.52M, and is owned in 0.8% of ESPN and 6% of Yahoo leagues.  He qualifies as SG, SF, and is listed as PF on ESPN.

Marquis Daniels, Indiana - Another SG/SF player.  He’s been great with Grander and Dunleavy out. In his past five games he averaged 19.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 0.8 threes.

He shot 51.9% from the floor, 80% from the line, and 26.7% from three (yikes).  He has a $4.23M SN cap number, and is owned in 48.8% of ESPN and 48% of Yahoo leagues.

C
Spencer Hawes, Sacramento
- Hawes has also benefitted from the Bulls trade.  With Miller out of the picture, he’s stepped up his game.  In his last five games he averaged 11.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.0 block.

He shot 50.9% from the floor.  His FT% was awful (33.3%), but at least he only attempted six free throws.  He has a $2.68M SN cap number, and is owned in 43.5% of ESPN and 64% of Yahoo leagues.
