Penn State Football 2012: The 5 Best Pump-Up Videos for the Season

1 of 6

With the start of the 2012 Penn State season less than a week away, there is no better way to get pumped for it than by watching motivational promo videos.

Penn State is in a year of transition. There is a new leader and a new attitude in Happy Valley.

The crimes by Jerry Sandusky and the events that followed were horrible, but the reality is that football season is starting. This will be a chance for fans to escape the negativity for a few hours and get back to enjoying Nittany Lion football.

Here are a few of the best pump-up videos from across the Internet. The common theme is rebuilding and moving on.

While some of these videos use common footage, the music and soundbites differ for each one.

Enjoy these as you wait out the last few days before the season begins.

5. 'We Will Rise'

This video, posted on Onwardstate.com, uses audio from The Dark Knight, along with the recognizable music of Hans Zimmer. With that as a background, how could this video not be great?

Because of all that has gone on at Penn State, the dialogue is more than appropriate for the current team and upcoming season.

This is sure to get any fan fired up and ready to start a new season.

4. 'Toxicity'

"Toxicity,'' a System of a Down song, is the perfect soundtrack for this video.

Montages of Penn State players past and present are mixed in with captions of quotes from people in the media over the last year.  The central theme is that Penn State is now toxic. Some even suggest shutting down the program for good.

This one is clever and will make every Penn State fan proud to wear the blue and white.

3. 'Bring It'

If this does not get you pumped for the new football season, nothing will. Using the music of Trapt, this video is meant to be played loud. The football scenes will get any fan excited.

Fans will enjoy seeing the footage of past glory. Scenes of the "good old days" will remind people of Penn State's greatness. Pictures of Bill O'Brien and current players show what the future will hold.

Penn State will try to "Bring It" this year. Watching this may help.

2. Warriors

(Note: The video contains a profane word.)

    Okay. Get ready for goosebumps.

This is another video posted on Onwardstate.com. It honors all of the players who chose to stay with the  Nittany Lions. Take note of the names listed at the end of the video.

This one should bring a tears to the eye. The speech is amazing.

Enjoy this one, then go cheer on the Lions this fall.

1. The Next Chapter

6 of 6

While most of the other videos were meant to get fans fired up with loud music and exciting football action, this one takes a different approach.

It features audio from head coach Bill O'Brien and players talking about the importance of playing for Penn State.  The scenes of the players being greeted by cheering fans could cause any fan to choke up.

The motto "One Pride, One Purpose, One Family, One Team'' seems to be the motto for the team this year. That motto is flashed on the screen as this video is wrapping up.
