Brock Lesnar may have sent out a Tout that said he is quitting the WWE, but every fan certainly knows better than that.
Lesnar has limited dates in his contract so he's simply going on hiatus until the WWE decides what it wants to do next. There are a lot of options, but the most desirable one from WWE's perspective is anyone's guess.
WrestleMania is the event on everyone's mind, but that isn't until April of next year. There is a lot of blank space in between. Whether the WWE decides to have Lesnar wrestle an additional match during that time, have him appear but not wrestle or even leave him off television altogether is something that we'll all be keeping an eye on.
With that said, here are the three most likely opponents in Lesnar's next WWE feud.
The Undertaker isn't going to wrestle unless it's at WrestleMania, so if Lesnar's next feud is against Taker, then he'll be out of action for quite some time. This is the scenario that I'm leaning toward currently, though.
Lesnar said that he has accomplished everything there is to accomplish in the WWE, but there is clearly one glaring omission. That, of course, is ending The Undertaker's incredible undefeated streak at WrestleMania.
I feel pretty confident that Lesnar will be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble and will look to be well on his way to winning it before the lights go out and The Undertaker appears in the middle of the ring. Taker wouldn't be an entrant in the match itself, but he would appear to eliminate Lesnar. That would be the beginning of their feud, and it would culminate with an absolutely massive match on wrestling's biggest stage.
If Lesnar doesn't face The Undertaker at WrestleMania, then I feel like the only other option is The Rock.
We already know that The Rock is going to compete at WrestleMania, and he will also be the challenger in a WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble. Although it's far from a sure thing at this point, I'm guessing that The Rock's opponent at Royal Rumble will be CM Punk. If that is the case, then I can see Punk forming an alliance with Lesnar, prompting Lesnar to cost The Rock that match.
That will ignite a feud that would lead to a match at WrestleMania. Lesnar and The Rock have wrestled before, but it has been a very long time, and I'm sure fans would like to see it again. This scenario isn't quite as tantalizing as Lesnar vs. Undertaker, but this match wouldn't be a pushover by any means. Lesnar and Rock are both going to be wrestling at WrestleMania, so they very well could be doing so against each other.
Although Lesnar's win over Triple H probably seemed like it was meant to end their feud, I can see them having one more match at Survivor Series.
The announcers speculated that The Game might retire after tapping to the Kimura Lock, but Triple H has yet to address the situation. Since so many seem to believe that Triple H will hang up the boots, I expect him to be defiant and possibly even call out Lesnar. If the plan is for Lesnar to have a match between now and Royal Rumble, it almost has to be against Triple H.
Lesnar isn't going to face John Cena again, CM Punk is a heel, essentially, and guys like Randy Orton and Sheamus aren't a big enough deal to use Lesnar against them.
I could definitely see Triple H wrestling Lesnar again at Survivor Series, losing and then announcing his retirement. Shawn Michaels would then attempt to talk him out of retirement so that he can go out on a good note, however, and that would result in a Triple H vs. HBK match at WrestleMania.
