When you think about WWE, look out past SummerSlam. I know everyone wants to focus all their attention on the next big show, but when you think about what is going to come after that, it is downright brutal.

Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar is the only saving grace that SummerSlam has. Everything else has felt like garbage. Not garbage from the standpoint of everything we are seeing is bad; instead, it is garbage in feeling important.

WWE is taking liberties with the audience, just hoping it will be able to keep them coming back because of the WWE brand. We shall see what is in store post-SummerSlam, because right now, things don't look good.

What does look good is our daily look at news, notes and rumors from the wacky world of professional wrestling.

In typical WWE style, Michaels suffered an injury on Raw, so the WWE website decided to report that he would not be appearing at SummerSlam. His broken arm is causing him too much pain to fly, which is perfectly understandable.

Question on Everybody's Mind: HBK is still showing up, right?

What Is More Likely To Happen At SummerSlam?

Our Take: You would be foolish to bet against it. The only difference is, instead of being at ringside the entire match, Michaels will run out and be involved in the finish. Plus, there is the added intrigue of whether or not Michaels really is angry at Triple H for not helping him on Monday.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Broken Bones

I have been vocal in my criticism of Michaels'—and everyone else's—inclusion in this feud. I don't think it's necessary, nor do I think it has helped. Since this is the hand we have been dealt, we might as well make the best of it.

KURT ANGLE DELETES A CHALLENGE TO CM PUNK

Courtesy of the UK Sun

Kurt Angle likes to speak before thinking, which makes him a wonderful source for rumors and speculation. His latest endeavor came in the form of a tweet, which has since been deleted. He challenged CM Punk—who recently called TNA an Indy promotion—to a match, either in WWE or TNA.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Will we ever get a Punk-Angle match?

Our Take: Unless Angle wants to go back to WWE, don't count on it. Punk surely won't go to TNA, at least while Angle is still wrestling. Angle's body can't handle a full WWE schedule, nor is he available soon. It's a fun dream match to think about, but never one that is likely to happen.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Angle Slams

As crazy as Angle is outside of wrestling, he is still so very good inside the ring that no one seems to care about anything he says. He is the kind of person where you take everything they say with a giant grain of salt.

MATT MORGAN KEEPS TALKING ON TWITTER

Courtesy of the Online World of Wrestling

Matt Morgan's future in wrestling has been up for debate for months, though there has been no movement on WWE television one way or the other. He does keep posting notes on Twitter hinting at something at some point in the future, including this tweet on Tuesday.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is Matt Morgan 2.0 going to be successful in WWE?

Our Take: Based on what little I saw from him in TNA, I can't say whether or not he has really improved as a wrestler or talker. I know he is a big guy, which Vince McMahon loves, so he is going to get a push. If he catches on, good for him. I don't expect it, but stranger things have happened.

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Retreads

WWE has more than enough talent on its roster it doesn't push, so spending more money on a midlevel TNA star who already bombed in WWE just seems goofy. At least Morgan will have a nice payday to take care of himself and his family.

ALBERTO DEL RIO GETS HIS TITLE SHOT; NO ONE IN WWE CARES ABOUT BELTS

As a way to further prove that no one should care about Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus or the world title, Booker T gave Del Rio the World Championship Match at SummerSlam one week after taking it away because Sheamus begged for the match.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Does WWE try to bury the World title?

Our Take: It seemed like there was some mandate to get the title over because it was on Sheamus, who is close with Triple H. But to cancel his match two weeks before one of the biggest pay-per-views only to give it back the next week because one of the participants begged equals no buys and no one caring.

Hype Meter: 0 out of 5 Title Matches

As much fun as someone like CM Punk has at the expense of TNA, does he realize how ridiculous WWE is right now? There might as well not even be a title on the line in the Sheamus-Del Rio match. It's so hilarious what this company has done to its titles.
