With the advent of another week comes another set of Robin van Persie rumors.

Ready? Here we go.

At the head of Monday's B/R Transfer Tracker, we learn that RvP is not too popular with Arsenal fans right now, but that Arsene Wenger wants to keep him anyway.

Well, so we already knew all of that. But that's the news today in this summer's longest-running transfer saga.

Elsewhere, we have updates on Fernando Llorente, Jack Rodwell, Nicklas Bendtner and Nuri Sahin.

Read on for all the details.

Wenger: We Want RvP to Stay

In its match report from Arsenal's 4-0 preseason victory over FC Köln, The Sun notes that Robin van Persie received a tepid welcome from Arsenal fans in Germany.

Later, though, manager Arsene Wenger is quoted as saying Arsenal want to keep van Persie in North London this season.

There’s no news on Van Persie. Our fans want him to stay so you can understand they are excited. Anything I could say about Van Persie would be a lie because he’s our player and that’s it. Robin scored 30 goals last season and you want to keep your best player. He was player of the year in England. We want to keep him. I cannot tell you more at the moment because I don’t know more.

Van Persie, 29, announced (RobinvanPersie.com) earlier this summer that he won't sign a new contract with the Gunners. His current deal runs out following the 2012-13 season.

Juve After Llorente

Juventus have opened negotiations with Athletic Bilbao over Spain striker Fernando Llorente (ESPNSoccernet).

Llorente, 27, is in the final year of his contract. He scored 30 goals in all competitions last season as Athletic reached the Europa League final.

Juventus reportedly would pay about €20 million for Llorente. According to Goal.com, Athletic president Josu Urrutia has said Llorente won't re-sign with the club.

Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be interested.

Manchester City have finally made their first signing of the summer.

His name is Jack Rodwell, he's a midfielder and he formerly played for Everton.

Here's the official word from MCFC.co.uk. According to The Guardian, City paid Everton about £15 million for the deal.

Rodwell, 21, has earned two senior caps for England.

According to talkSPORT, Arsenal and AC Milan could swap Nicklas Bendtner for Philippe Mexes.

Bendtner, a 24-year-old Danish striker, spent last season with Sunderland on loan from Arsenal.

Mexes, a 30-year-old center back, joined Milan from Roma in 2011.

Sahin Set to Leave?

Nuri Sahin is set to leave Real Madrid, according to reports cited by Goal.com.

Spanish paper Marca reports that Sahin could leave the Spanish capital in a loan move as early as this week.

Sahin, 23, joined Real from Borussia Dortmund in 2011 and struggled to find playing time throughout his first season in Spain.

Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are thought to be interested in acquiring him on loan.
