USA Olympic Swimming star, Ryan Lochte is not ashamed to pee in the pool. In fact, he promotes the activity in his new parody video, "Peeing in Pools with Ryan Lochte."
We know the serious side of Lochte, through various videos and commercials of his intense pre-Olympic training and the five medals he earned in London, two of which were gold.
We know the softer-side of Lochte as demonstrated in the P&G "Thank You Mom—Raising an Olympian video.
But what many have not seen is the funny side of Lochte, who after being admonished by some critics for admitting to peeing in the pool in an interview with Ryan Seacrest, teamed up with Funny Or Die—the online comedy video website to spoof his critics and the media attention that his admission of peeing received. To watch the video, go to this link.
"The way I see it," says Lochte in the video which is now part of LOCHTv, "the pool is the biggest most expensive toilet and it's all mine. It's the only place that I allow myself to pee," he says with a sly grin.
He stares at a toilet in disbelief. "I can't swim in this!"
Lochte cautions those interested in peeing in pools that it's not as easy as it looks and that it takes serious training.
"First you start in with the bathtub, after that a jaccuzi or a hot-tub. After that you work your way to the shallow end of the pool..."
And if you're brave enough? Eventually the deep end. "Then you've made it."
Lochte says he wants to give back to his supporters and will start a children's outreach program for peeing in the pool and hopefully work his way to encourage those in a winter sport to pee in the snow.
The World Record holder and three-time Olympian makes one thing very clear to children.
"Don't ever poop in the pool. Don't do it!" Why? "Because then they shut down the entire pool and I have no where to pee."
There are a series of products Locthe announces that will help build his "Pee in the Pool" outreach program including his new book, "50 Shades of Yellow," a new podcast dubbed "pee-cast" and a new rap CD "Peeablo," his rap alter-ego.
If you think this video is funny, hold on. Lochte promises a followup video that will help teach viewers "how to eat pizza with a grill."
I say, what should be his next endeavour?—to host Saturday Night Live.
Way to go Ryan, we all know that every swimmer pees in the pool, but only few are cool enough like you to admit it.
And yes, you do pee gold.
