The Dynasty Manifesto: The Texas "Sledgehammer" Massacre?

AkDSenior Writer IFebruary 24, 2009

I once again am inspired by my fellow B/R writers. Thank you. My eyes were opened on a segment on RAW last night.  I'm now going to reevaluate my perspective as I now see RAW in a different way. I was able to enjoy RAW, but there was a catch.

"I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids!"

I re-watched RAW's ending segment that included a chase between Triple H and Randy Orton. I loved it. I noticed that Orton always seems to sell everything. It's not a bad thing because he does it well; Orton sold a little too much though.

"Triple H, let's settle this like men."

Orton saw the rag in Triple H's eye and tried to convince him to drop the sledgehammer. He did, and so did Orton. Orton pounced on Triple H, but bounced back after Triple H revealed a second Sledgehammer that he was hiding on him all along.

Why would he carry two?

Did he predict Orton would convince him to drop his?

Anyway after Cody Rhodes got a taste of the hammer, Orton and DiBiase put on the back burner. He high tailed it to back and Triple H...."POWER WALKED?!"

The man wasn't even running, but managed to stay behind Orton.

This reminds me of Jason...the serial killer of course. It doesn't have to be him, any horror movie will do. They have this cliche that no matter how far or fast the victim runs, the killer is right behind them.

They also have the famous trip. They fall down and they're pretty much done for. Luckily for Orton, he can live to punt another day. What was the point on throwing down chairs and papers while running? Did he think Triple H would trip over the fallen items? Did he think Triple H would pick them up?

Orton would say:

I would imagine Triple H's hammer has a chainsaw.

"Vrommmmm!" Let's rev it up, shall we?

Rhodes had gotten the hit already, I thought he was done. He was some how in the car when Orton and DiBiase got away in the car...at least I assumed he was. Even in that small room Triple H couldn't get the job done.

"Vrooooomm!" The chainsaw destroyed everything in sight.

He destroyed furniture, a vase, a mirror. Triple H managed to get DiBiase in the back with the hammer, but DiBiase was still running! That must have been one hell of a hit. Orton and DiBiase continue to run like their hitting 90 miles an hour on a freeway like it's the Fast and the Furious.

Triple H was still right behind them.

"Run Randy! RUN!"

Cryme Tyme just stood there in the hallway. Where were the rest of the superstars?! I guess everyone went home early when they heard about the Texas chainsaw....Sledgehammer Massacre was going to go down. Why didn't Orton and DiBiase run to the parking lot in the first place?

They had to give Cody some time to get to the car I suppose. What kills me is that any other time, Triple H rarely misses with the sledgehammer. Looks like age is finally catching up with the cerebral assassin. He was literally like 2 for 50! (He hit Rhodes and DiBiase). RAW seems to have a problem...a chainsaw problem....we can say Sledgehammer for the sake of Triple H.

Nevertheless, I still loved that RAW. I'm not bashing it....I'm just having some fun and poking some holes in the last segment. What will happen next week? We'll have to see.
