In a smart but frustrating move for Michigan fans, LaQuon Treadwell confirmed to Steve Wiltfong of 247sports.com that he is prolonging his recruitment process until he feels 100 percent comfortable in his decision.
Although still thought to be a heavy Michigan lean, Treadwell still wants to see what's on offer, telling Wiltfong: "Only thing that held me back is there are a couple of other schools and they're special programs and I want to see what they have, and I'd like to take all my visits before I make a decision."
Treadwell will be taking an official visit to Ole Miss. He also wants to have an overnight stay to see what Michigan State can offer him.
The wide receiver also entertains the prospect of visiting Auburn, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
You can either respect Treadwell for being patient, or believe that he enjoys all the attention he is receiving from the teams wooing him. But either way, I'm sure Michigan will wait.
If it were any other player, I'd start going after some different targets. But Treadwell strikes me as the most important piece of the puzzle left in the 2013 recruiting class.
The 6'3", 190-pound wideout is a true number one receiver for the future and si.com goes as far as to say that Treadwell could be ranked as the number one receiver of 2013 when the new recruiting rankings are put out later this month.
I'm happy that Treadwell doesn't seem like the type to toy with Michigan, but I think he is the furthest away from committing of all of Michigan's 2013 remaining targets.
