Wrestlemania XXV: Undertaker vs. ???

Last Monday Night Raw, JBL was defeated by the Heartbreak kid, Shawn Michaels, who then had the right to challenge the Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXV and end his winning streak.

But, after the win, HBK was interrupted by Smackdown's undefeated Vladimir Kozlov, who proceeded to attack HBK and made it clear that next week at Raw, these two would have a match to decide who will face the legendary Phenom at Wrestlemania XXV and end his streak.

Now,we go to the background of the Phenom's 16-0 undefeated streak at Wrestlemania:

Wrestlemania VII: Undertaker defeated Jimmy Snuka

Undertaker made his debut at Survivor Series 1990. Four months later at Wrestlemania VII he made his Wrestlemania debut and defeated Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka.

From this match started the undefeated 1-0 streak of Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania VIII: Undertaker defeated Jake Roberts

In 1991, Undertaker and Jake Roberts were allies defeating the likes of Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage. After the Deadman changed his mind in early 1992, he faced his former partner at Wrestlemania VIII and defeated him.

The Deadman's winning streak at Wrestlemania continues 2-0.

Wrestlemania IX: Undertaker defeated Giant Gonzalez By Disqualification

This was the only match in Wrestlemania history that Undertaker won by disqualification. Both Undertaker and Gonzalez used their weight and power to control the match.

Gonzalez attacked Undertaker by using different parts of the ring until Undertaker retaliated and took control of the match.

Harvey Wippleman, who managed Gonzalez threw a napkin soaked with chloroform by which Gonzalez knocked Undertaker unconscious and was disqualified for doing so.

After the match, Undertaker recovered and attacked him.

Undertaker remains undefeated 3-0 at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XI: Undertaker defeated King Kong Bundy

After Ted DiBiase's corporation stole Undertaker's urn at the 1995 Royal Rumbe, Undertaker then started a lengthy feud with the corporation and took revenge after beating DiBiase's fellow corporation member, King Kong Bundy at Wrestlemania XI.

Undertaker remains undefeated 4-0 at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XII: Undertaker defeated Diesel

In early 1996, both Undertaker and Diesel cost each other to win the WWE Championship. So, these two big men settled their score at Wrestlemania XII and Undertaker defeated Diesel to remain undefeated 5-0 at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XIII: Undertaker Defeated Sycho Sid in a No-Disqualification Match for the WWE Championship

At Wrestlemania XIII, Undertaker looked to improve his Wrestlemania undefeated streak to 6-0 as he defeated Sycho Sid in a no disqualification to win the WWE Championship.

Wrestlemania XIV: Undertaker defeated Kane

In 1997, Kane made his debut in WWE and cost his brother, Undertaker the first ever Hell in a Cell match. After refusing months after months to fight his own flesh and blood, Undertaker finally faced and defeated Kane at Wrestlemania XIV to improve his Wrestlemania winning streak to 7-0 .

Wrestlemania XV: Undertaker defeated Big Boss Man in a Hell in a Cell Match

In 1999, Undertaker used to torrment Mr. McMahon in numerous ways. Therefore, the Chairman sent his personal henchman, Big Boss Man to battle against Undertaker at Wrestlemania XV in a Hell in a Cell.

Undertaker defeated Big Boss Man to continue his winning streak at Wrestlemania 8-0.

Wrestlemania X7: Undertaker defeated Triple H

In early 2001, Triple H boasting said that he had no one left to beat in WWE. The Undertaker took offense in that and challenged the Game at Wrestlemania X-Seven where the Game lost.

Undertaker continues his winning streak 9-0 at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania X8: Undertaker Defeated Ric Flair in a No-Disqualification match

At No Way Out 2002, Ric Flair cost Undertaker a match against The Rock. The Deadman then challenged Flair to a no disqualification match at Wrestlemania X8 which the Nature Boy lost to the Phenom.

Undertaker remains undefeated 10-0 at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XIX: Undertaker Defeated Big Show & A-Train in a handicap match

At Wrestlemania XIX, Undertaker was scheduled to team with Nathan Jones to take on A-Train and Big Show. But Nathan Jones was incapacitated by his opponents before the match, which made it a handicap match.

Undertaker fought hard and got the victory after much labour.

The Deadman remains undefeated 11-0 at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XX: Undertaker defeated Kane

After returning to ring in 2004, the Deadman renewed his rivalry with his brother Kane and eventually defeating him in a singles match at Wrestlemania XX.

Undertaker remains undefeated 12-0 at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XXI: Undertaker defeated Randy Orton

In 2005, the Undertaker took on the Legend Killer, Randy Orton in an inter promotional battlle. The Deadman defeated and slaughtered the legend of the Legend Killer at Wrestlemania XXI increasing his Wrestlemania winning streak to 13-0.

Wrestlemania XXII: Undertaker defeated Mark Henry in a Casket match

At Wrestlemania XXII, the Phenom took on the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry in a casket match. It was the hardest of all matches in the Phenom's Wrestlemania career.

Undertaker got the win after rolling Henry inside the casket and shutting its lid.

Undertaker remains undefeated 14-0 at Wrestlemania

Wrestlemania XXIII: Undertaker Defeated Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship

In 2007, Undertaker won the Royal Rumble Match and went on to challenge Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania XXIII.

After a hard-fought battle, the Phenom put the Animal away after a tombstone piledriver for the victory and winning the World Championship for the first time in his career.

Undertaker remains undefeated 15-0 at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XXIV:Undertaker defeated Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship

At No Way Out 2008, Undertaker won the Smackdown/ECW Elimination Chamber match to become the No. 1 contender for Edge's World Championship. Undertaker had never beaten Edge in any singles competition.

So, his perfect Wrestlemania streak was in dire jeopardy heading to Wrestlemania XXIV. But, the Phenom beat all the odds and beat Edge after Edge tapped out from his Hell's Gate.

Undertaker's winning streak continues 16-0 at Wrestlemania.
