Each morning, I like to start the day off with a workout—usually a morning jog. I can clear my head, plan my day and think about what’s going on around the NFC South.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Williams has an assigned seat in the wide receiver meeting room, right next to Vincent Jackson. In fact, it's Jackson's arrival in addition to a hopefully improved Josh Freeman that could lead to a bounceback season for Williams (via the Tampa Tribune).

Tampa Bay signed linebacker Brian Smith, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution posted a five-question Q&A with Tyson Clabo.

The Falcons are coming off their first day off since the start of training camp. The official team website posted a few things to look for once they hit the field again.

Carolina Panthers

Brandon LaFell knows he's going to be competing for the No. 2 wide receiver spot, according to the Rock Hill Herald. The job isn't just going to be handed to him.

The Panthers' official team website reviews Wednesday's camp session.

New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees went into a little more depth on his comments about not trusting commissioner Roger Goodell to the Times-Picayune.

Rookie wide receiver Nick Toon talks in this video about his need to elevate his game and go out as early as preseason Game 1 and put up numbers (via the Times-Picayune).
