Gylfi Sigurdsson is making new Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas look like a very clever manager following another incredible goal for Spurs.

The midfielder netted in Tottenham's thrilling victory over the New York Red Bulls in the club's preseason encounter to give the London club a lead which would ultimately turn out to be the match-winning goal.

Sigurdsson was brought by Villas-Boas over the summer transfer window to White Hart Lane from Hoffenheim in a shock move, with many believing the midfielder would be playing for Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool this season (via The Daily Mirror).

However, with stunning goals and incredible finishes, it's starting to become very clear why Tottenham were desperate to land the Icelandic player, who could turn out to be one of the signings of the summer for Spurs in their quest to finish top four in the English Premier League once more.
