Diggs Detroit Weekly Report: Pistons Riding Five-Game Losing Streak

I'm totally disgusted with how the Pistons have been playing lately. They are on a five-game losing streak, and are lucky to still be in the top eight of the East.

The way I see it, the Pistons have two major problems—1. It's hard for them to get a lead and 2. It's hard for them to maintain a lead.

Also, this "Stuckey" Era isn't helping us one bit.  I don't know if the trade for Allen Iverson was a trade for the future—specifically to get Rodney Stuckey in the lineup.

But what the heck? Why would a consistent Pistons team (at the beginning of the season) need to worry about the future?  None the less, Joe Dumars made the trade anyway, so we need to work with what we got.

One thing that makes me mad about the coach is that he isn't giving the young players enough minutes. Jason Maxwell and Amir Johnson are the players we need to be getting in the starting lineup.

At the beginning of the season, when Chauncey Billups and Antio McDyess got traded, our starting lineup was solid—Stuckey, "Rip" Hamilton, Tayshawn Prince, Johnson and Rasheed Wallace.

I don't know why we aren't going back to this lineup, while at the same time, benching AI. Lately, he's been taking way too many shots, and hasn't been playing "Detoit" basketball.

AI has a scoring mentality, and that's why he would be more effective coming off the bench.

Our next game is against the Cavs tomorrow on ESPN. I promise that if we do not win the game tomorrow, I will stop wasting my time on Detroit's televised games and just wait until the playoffs because the game with the Spurs was already a huge letdown.
