Soccer AM Clips: Ian Holloway and His Chickens

In a slight change from the norm, the first guest was not a footballer but rather Olympic gold medal winning boxer James DeGale.

The boxer admitted that his dad looks after his medal because he is scared he’ll lose it, before plugging his first professional fight scheduled for the next weekend.

The last discussion was on football, DeGale saying he is a QPR fan and that his cousin is Lee Cook.

Everyone’s favourite football nutter Ian Holloway then planted himself down on the sofa accompanied by a selection of books which described what he had been up to recently.

Picking up on his new hobby of chicken rearing, Helen showed off her poultry knowledge asking “I don’t see a cock!” when looking at her guests’ photo. (Cue the childish jokes.)

The chicken discussion then tied in with a discussion of Holloway’s new self-sufficient lifestyle, before football was finally mentioned with the former Plymouth manager talking about leaving Argyle and his failure at Leicester.

Showbiz pair Ricky Yune and Simon Webbe came on the show to talk-up their the new film The Fifth Commandment.

Comically, Helen and Max pushed to find out how the unlikely duo became friends much to the guests' obvious discomfort. They both found out they were dating the same girl at the same time.

And last up was US rapper Flo-rida who arrived to plug his new album. The rapper, who was surprisingly softly spoken, talked about his smash hit “Low” and rising to the top of the American charts.
