Red Sox vs. Yankees: Live Stream, Injuries, Pitching Matchups & Fantasy Preview
The Red Sox might be the greatest enigma in baseball. They have moments where they look like one of the top teams in the American League. But there are other times where they can't seem to get out of their own way. Pitching has been the source of many problems, which does not bode well against the high-powered Yankees lineup.
The Yankees have had issues keeping pitchers healthy, but no matter who gets plugged into the rotation, the team just keeps on winning. They boast the best record in baseball right now and currently hold an eight-game lead over Tampa Bay and Baltimore in the American League East.

CC Sabathia, Starting Pitcher
One of the reasons the Yankees have been able to put together a patchwork rotation is because they have the horse at the top who is always going to be a stabilizing force.
Despite the Red Sox and Yankees playing 18 times every year, Sabathia will be making his first start of 2012 against Boston on Saturday. He has looked really good since the start of May, with 79 strikeouts and just seven home runs allowed in 84.2 innings pitched.
Sabathia is going to be a key player in fantasy coming down the stretch, so start him whenever you can.
Adrian Gonzalez, First Baseman
A big reason the Red Sox offense has been so inconsistent this season is the performance of Gonzalez. He is having the worst season of his career with the bat, and the Red Sox have been unable to get anyone else to step up to fill that huge void.
July has been very kind to Gonzalez, as he is starting to show signs of breaking out of his season-long slump. He is hitting .360/.368/.520 in 19 games. The most alarming stat is that he has zero walks this month.
His patience may not be there right now, but at least Gonzalez is making more contact. It is a very small sample size, so be careful when expecting big things.
It is hard to trust any of the starters for the Red Sox right now, and with Sabathia and Kuroda going on Saturday and Sunday, this could get very ugly for Boston.
Yankees sweep series, 3-0.
