Saratoga Racetrack: Grade 1 TVG Coaching Club American Oaks

Zo Impressive is the 2-1 morning line favorite in the $300,000 Grade 1 feature today at Saratoga. Zo Impressive has three wins in five career starts and appears to be in great form. In her last start, the three-year-old filly captured the Grade One Mother Goose at Belmont.

Questing is 3-1 and is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, who seems poised to have a huge meet at Saratoga. Questing is coming off her best race, when she romped home over the main track at Belmont in a hand ride in 1:34 flat.

Disposablepleasure ran another strong race on June 23, but she was denied by Zo Impressive. Todd Pletcher trains this talented horse, who has a blistering 47.1 work on July 15 over the main track at Saratoga.

In Lingerie is the pick, despite having most of her wins on the synthetic dirt. In her last start, In Lingerie stumbled badly and still won. Javier Castellano picks up the mount for the injured John Velazquez.

Questing appears to the only speed in the race and should have the lead from the moment the race starts. Yara, who is currently 15-1, will be wearing blinkers today, so I expect her to be closer to the lead than in her last few starts.

Disposablepleasure, Zo Impressive and Funny Proposition will all be within four lengths, as they all prefer to stalk the pace setters. In Lingerie will be last early, as she is the classic closer.

In Lingerie will make her move at the top of the stretch and win by two lengths, in 1:50.2. In Lingerie has a win at nine furlongs, so has a major advantage over Zo Impressive and Questing, both of which are winless at today's distance.

Zo Impressive will finish second and Questing will hold on for third.
