USA vs. Great Britain: Grading Each American's Performance in Olympic Exhibition

Team USA is gunning for hardwood gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

They sure looked medal-worthy on Thursday.

Behind strong outings from guard Deron Williams and forward Carmelo Anthony, the Americans put away Great Britain to the tune of 118-78. Check out the full breakdown of every member of Team USA involved in Thursday's exhibition across the pond.

Tyson Chandler, C: B-

Chandler only saw 10:08 of floor time and tallied just one rebound and no points. Still, the Knicks big man recorded two stuffs and boasted pugnacious interior defense.

One of two players to not record a foul, Chandler stuck to his niche and manned the paint. Playing with a cavalcade of star shooters, his offensive production isn't too important on Team USA.

Kevin Durant, SF: B

The NBA's incumbent scoring champ got the Americans on the board with an opening-minute dunk, but missed a few shots as the first quarter went on. Durant led the team at the break with 13 points, taking a breather for the second half.

K.D. was great in the interior but struggled from behind the arc, connecting on just 1-of-5 attempts. He posted a pedestrian 42 percent from the field, and despite leading Team USA in shots, ranked just fourth in scoring.

Durant was vital in establishing an early lead, but he has certainly had better shooting nights. He turned the ball over twice and tallied three personal fouls as well.

A botched slam doesn't help his grade much, either.

LeBron James, SF: A+

King James was dominant, nailing seven of his 10 shots and compiling a plus-24 efficiency rating. The 2012 NBA Finals MVP also added four dishes, six boards and two steals.

LeBron played stringent defense and was called for just one personal foul. He turned in a superb performance and stifled the Brits all night long.

Russell Westbrook (PG): A+

So much for being a ball hog.

The emulous 1-guard came up big, recording nine assists, just one turnover and 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting. He also buried a three ball, was perfect on free throws and even notched a block.

Despite coming off the bench, Westbrook was a standout performer for the U.S., doing just about everything right. He dominated the transition game and even got involved in some alley-oop action.

Deron Williams, PG: A+

Freshly inked Deron Williams must have Brooklyn fans salivating after a flawless performance in Manchester. D-Will shot an otherworldly .833 from downtown and finished with 19 points on a paltry eight shots.

He added five dimes, two steals and a team-high plus-25 efficiency rating. Williams was arguably Team USA's MVP versus the Brits.

Andre Iguodala, SF: C+

Iguodala scored just two points in more than 17 minutes of floor time. His lone score did come on a thundering dunk but, all in all, his offensive production was disappointing.

What saves his grade here was his effort on the glass; Iguodala tied for the team lead with six boards.

Kobe Bryant, SG: B

Bryant's ubiquitous media presence didn't quite translate on the court. He recorded just five points.

Still, Kobe boasted a well-balanced game, adding three assists, five rebounds and two steals. His fade-away jumper looked nice, and his defense was up to par as always.

On a team log-jammed with superstars, not everyone will drop huge point totals every night.

Kevin Love, PF: B-

After being shut down by the Timberwolves for the tail end of the 2011-12 season, Kevin Love has stayed busy in international play.

Versus Team GB, he was 3-of-4 from the field, adding three boards and a steal.

However, Love's grade is harrowed by the four fouls he picked up in just more than 15 minutes of play. He was also one of just five Americans to record a single-digit efficiency rating and wasn't a huge impact on the low post.

James Harden, SF: B

The NBA's Sixth Man of the Year had a solid night. He was the one to put Team USA into triple digits with a fourth-quarter three, but he picked up two early fouls.

Harden was 4-of-7 from the floor and added three dishes.

Chris Paul, PG: A-

Thursday night's performance was quintessential Chris Paul, flaunting sturdy perimeter defense (three steals) and acting as a court-savvy setup man (six assists).

Paul threw a nice lob for Russell Westbrook and did a fantastic job holding down the point behind Deron Williams.

He didn't do much on the offensive end, however, which lowered his grade a bit.

Anthony Davis, PF: A+

The 2012 No. 1 overall pick is already looking like a bona fide star.

Davis shot over 70 percent from the field, scoring 11 points in under 13 minutes on the court. He also added a team-high four blocks.

Hornets fans have to like what they're seeing so far. Aside from an admittedly embarrassing air ball, Davis was perfect this past performance.

Carmelo Anthony, SF: A+

Anthony had a great night, evidenced by his plus-24 efficiency. He was 3-of-5 on three-pointers and shot 80 percent from the field. Melo finished with four assists and 19 points, tying with Deron Williams for the team lead.

Like the rest of Team USA, Anthony cruised on Thursday. He should be a major factor when the Americans travel to London for the Olympic Games.
