Arsenal Transfer News: Why Gunners Must End Van Persie Transfer Drama Quickly
Arsenal must put an end to the circus that is surrounding their club and striker Robin van Persie immediately.
According to The Mirror, the Gunners have received a number of offers for the 28-year-old Dutch forward but have yet to come across anything close to his value of £25 million.
Unfortunately, time is running out.

Van Persie's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, so the drama will only continue into Arsenal's 2012-13 campaign if no offer is accepted in the coming weeks.
On July 4, Van Persie announced that he would not re-sign with the English club and ignited a spark of disgust and animosity from the fans that have cheered him on since he arrived in London back in 2004.
Van Persie netted an English Premier League-leading 30 goals last season and is Arsenal's eighth all-time top goal scorer with 132 from 2004 to 2012.
The drama must end quickly though, because Van Persie's finishing touch isn't nearly enough to make up for the monumental distraction he has become for the Gunners. Their struggles last season will look like small blips compared to what this year will look like if they fail to find the right deal for Van Persie.
Arsene Wenger and his colleagues need to do what's best for the club by moving on from a situation that has played itself out. Van Persie's lame-duck situation is dead weight that Arsenal can't afford to drag around this season if they are to challenge for the EPL crown.
They finished only third in the table last season, 19 points behind Manchester City and Manchester United with a scorching Van Persie. Just imagine the cries for help if they take to the pitch with an unfocused Van Persie and a never-ending list of questions about his future.
That being said, the Gunners must end the Robin van Persie transfer drama quickly, before the arrival of August and the EPL campaign.
