Oscar has been one of Chelsea's most coveted targets this summer, with the team looking to add some young talent to the roster before next season. The rising star would be a great addition for the Blues.

They have moved one step closer to getting a deal done, according to Sky Sports. They report that Chelsea has reached an agreement with his current team, Internacional, on a £25 million transfer deal that still needs to get finalized.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has scored 19 goals and 20 assists over the past two seasons while playing in Brazil's top league. He may be best known for a hat trick he scored for Brazil in the 2011 U-20 World Cup championship match against Portugal.

That performance helped propel him onto the country's main national team, where he will be featured on the Olympic squad in London. It's been a quick rise to fame for Oscar, but he's handled all of the added attention like a seasoned veteran.

Getting a chance to play on another big stage like the Olympics should help him better adapt to a Chelsea move, assuming a deal does get done. The more high-pressure games he plays ahead of time, the easier the transition will be.

As long as Oscar handles the pressure, there's no reason he wouldn't succeed with the Blues. He has a boatload of talent and seems to be getting better on a yearly basis, so it was only a matter of time before the world's biggest clubs came calling.

Over the next few seasons he should really begin to flourish, and he has a realistic shot at becoming an elite talent. His combination of vision, goal-scoring ability and raw skills makes him one of the more intriguing young players out there.

Oscar would be the second major acquisition of the summer for Chelsea, having already locked up Eden Hazard. That would give the Blues an extremely impressive midfield duo for the future since Hazard is also just 21.

That seems to be the way the transfer window has been moving in recent years—a much larger focus on young players that can grow and develop with the team instead of high-priced stars that might only be a short-term solution.

Chelsea still has some work to do before the deal becomes official, but it appears like an agreement is getting closer. The Blues must make sure he doesn't get away.
