Arsenal have had what we'll call a tumultuous summer transfer window so far. 

After picking up Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud for next season, the Gunners were rocked by the decision of Robin van Persie not to re-sign with the club before his contract expires at the end of next season.

And as shocking and as "big" as that might be for Arsenal, they must focus on the remainder of the transfer window and bring in solid signings to complement their already-strong squad.

Theo Walcott

Arsenal striker Theo Walcott is rumored to be making a move away from the Emirates over the summer transfer window, with Brendan Rodgers believed to be trying to sign the striker for Liverpool.

Rodgers is reportedly trying to finance the move by allowing the sale of Andy Carroll—freeing up the £15 million he is believed to be bidding for Walcott.

Chelsea and Paris St. Germain are also said to be interested in the 23-year-old and could make official bids soon.

Carlos Vela

Real Sociedad are looking to add Arsenal striker Carlos Vela to their squad on a permanent basis after his strong showing in the recent 2011-12 season.

Vela netted 12 goals and eight assists in 35 games for Real Sociedad, and the club are "moderately optimistic" about finalizing a deal for the striker.

M'Baye Niang

Arsenal are rumored to have made an official bid for teenage sensation M'Baye Niang—a £6 million offer for the 17-year-old attacking sensation, who recently trained with the club.

Manchester City are also keeping track of the striker, with Roberto Mancini's bigger bank balance possibly some cause for concern for the Gunners. Arsenal would love to add Niang to their development program and harness his seemingly untapped potential.

Lewis Holtby

As Theo Walcott eyes a possible move away from the Emirates, Arsenal are rumored to be interested in signing Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby—potentially as a replacement for Walcott.

Holtby, 21, has secured two full caps for Germany and has represented his country at both an under-19 and under-21 level. He could be a surprise signing for the Gunners over the transfer window, though the striker has admitted that he wants to remain at Schalke if possible.

Despite Arsenal's apparent leap in front of Inter Milan for the midfielder, Paulinho has confirmed he wants to remain at the club next season—regardless of who tries to secure his signature next season.

Robin Van Persie

Robin van Persie has quickly become the most talked about name over the summer transfer window after stunning the world by saying he will not re-sign with the Gunners when his contract expires.

Whilst no new information is available as to whether Arsenal will sell van Persie now or wait until his contract expires at the end of the year, he has been removed from all Arsenal catalogues for the upcoming season.

The Dutch international has returned to training—admitting that should he leave Arsenal, Juventus are the club on top of his wish list.

Christian Eriksen

Wrapping up our Arsenal transfer rumors is Christian Eriksen, who has hinted that he could want out of Ajax depending on who the "two" mystery clubs chasing him are.

Manchester United are believed to be interested in the 20-year-old, whilst Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham also rumored to be tracking the midfielder.

The Gunners were originally thought to be the frontrunners to land the Ajax sensation when the summer transfer window opened, though the likely option is that Eriksen remains at his current club, who have already lost their star defender over the transfer season.
