WWE: Any Way You Look at It, John Cena Will End the Undertaker's Career
The Undertaker versus John Cena at WrestleMania would be the definition of a perfect storm in professional wrestling.
There isn't anybody the match wouldn't appeal to.
Young fans who tend to be John Cena supporters will recognize their hero going up against a legend who is symbolic with WrestleMania.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The older fans who have seen The Undertaker their whole lives will likely enjoy seeing him against the poster boy of the WWE, hoping Cena gets beat, of course.
The “smart” fans realize this could be the most realistic match they ever pay for, with the possibility of The Undertaker's WrestleMania undefeated streak ending.
The bitter fans who will complain about anything will whine about Cena in another big WrestleMania match (like he would be in anything else) but will still watch it because that's what they do.
Who else do you want to see The Undertaker take on at WrestleMania? The Rock? Brock Lesnar? Kane? We've seen it all before and there's no logical believability to The Undertaker losing at WrestleMania against those opponents.
The Rock, a guy who would be gone the next day back to Hollywood, isn't going to end the legend's legacy.
Brock Lesnar? Please. At least The Rock openly cares about wrestling and the history of the business.
Kane: great character, great worker and great person behind the mask. However, he's lost several times to The Undertaker at WrestleMania and is steps below The Undertaker in career stature.
Should the streak end? I've always said no. I feel it can and should be the equivalent of Cal Ripken's iron-man streak in baseball. It stands alone. Even in a genre that's scripted, it won't ever be broken. Nobody will get booked to go over at WrestleMania more times without any losses than The Undertaker.
I've always felt the streak shouldn't end, but I also feel The Undertaker would like it to end. The Undertaker is old school; I think he would want to pass the torch. He would want to do the job and put somebody over as he leaves.
Conversations have long been going on from fans of who could or should break the streak. The younger bright stars of the future always get mentioned, with fans citing how breaking the streak would be the ultimate rub for a young Superstar's career.
It absolutely would launch anybody's career, but what if that career fizzled? You could destroy a legacy of 20-plus years built on The Undertaker's hard work.
Wade Barrett and Dolph Ziggler are two current names I hear the most as young guys who should be considered. You would be giving them an accolade nobody else in the history of wrestling will ever have.
Breaking the streak isn't like a championship title. Hundreds of wrestlers win titles. Guys like The Great Khali have even held world titles when the circumstances become necessary.
Ending the streak is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If Ziggler or Barrett were to have their careers shortened from injury, suspensions or lack of connection with the crowd—their fault or not—it would be a slap in the face to The Undertaker.
You avoid the worry of wasting the precious feat of breaking The Undertaker's streak if John Cena is the guy who breaks it. John Cena can retire the next day and his career is one of the greatest ever. The streak wouldn't go wasted. It would be perhaps the ultimate bullet point on Cena's Hall of Fame resume.
John Cena is the personality that when you look at the match graphic, you say to yourself, “Maybe Cena is the guy who does it.” You say this because of how Cena has been portrayed and what he's done for WWE. Wrestling fans of five years or 25 years can look at the situation and understand the unpredictability of the outcome.
In today's WWE, there are two questions that never die. Will The Undertaker's streak ever be broken? Will John Cena ever turn heel? Both could and potentially would have to happen at the same time.
If The Undertaker is to ever be beat, it's gonna take an intense showing and finish. There isn't anything more intense and justified than having the poster boy of the company drop his good-guy image. The John Cena heel turn to beat The Undertaker would only give more significance (if that's possible) to the streak being broken. Even if Cena was only a heel for a year, the character turn after this many years on that grand of a stage would go down as a success.
As I said, I don't think the streak should ever be broken. However, it being broken might be a reality if those are The Undertaker's wishes on how he ends his career. You might not like the thought of John Cena being the guy to give the honor to, but the reality is he's the only one worthy from a business standpoint.
If Triple H or Shawn Michaels didn't get the honor, Cena is the only one left. You know he's the only one who whose career will honor the ownership of beating The Undertaker's streak in the way it deserves. Everybody else you can think of will either be gone the next day or their career uncertainty would be to great to risk the streak's prestige.
If The Undertaker loses to John Cena, the streak and his career are over. If The Undertaker beats John Cena, his career is over because you'll never find a more worthy or intriguing matchup. Like him or not, it all ends with John Cena.
