WWE RAW: Drew McIntyre and How He Can Still Fit into the WWE.

The Chosen One.

This is the curse that has plagued Drew McIntyre from the moment his career began.

He was hand-picked by Vince McMahon to be a superstar and take over WWE.

However, after early Intercontinental title runs, and a brief run before Wrestlemania on Smackdown, he has barely appeared on WWE television.

Now, with Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes slowly clawing their way up to the main event scene, McIntyre's time to shine as a dominant heel could be nearing.

But after such a fall from grace, how can he be a respected bad guy?

Firstly, we need to throw away the title of 'The Chosen One' and replace it with a title like 'The Fallen One' (although this particular phrasing is similar to Christopher Daniels), and send him out to do promos saying he deserves more.

These promos could lead to some squash matches against jobbers, and then maybe lead to picking up the US or Intercontinental title as he begins a run of dominance. I see him as a great heel to counter Santino Marella, with a serious Drew McIntyre being embarrassed by the comedy of the Milan Miracle.

To finally solidify him, he could be given a similar gimmick to the character William Regal has portrayed, as an upper class, manipulative heel.

With that, the twist to McIntyres new character is that this could flip face and heel. With this gimmick, he could be a face rebelling against the boss who handed him his original cursed nickname.

As a Scotsman, it could be easy to claim that I'm just throwing my weight behind a fellow Braveheart. But with the Sinister Scotsman, it's hard to deny his talent; however, backstage politics has held him back for months.
