With a wonderful Fourth of July upon us, it’s time to celebrate America and all the things that make this country great—like good, old-fashioned wrestling.
In the spirit of Mr. America, it’s time to look back on what was a wild night of wrestling. Not only did the WWE put on a live edition of SmackDown, it also managed to further desecrate the WCW’s premiere pay-per-view.
For those that say the WWE didn’t care, you'd better believe Vince McMahon knew exactly what he was doing.
While we were watching SmackDown, big news has been breaking about the reported return dates for stars such as Undertaker, Rey Mysterio and Mark Henry.
The current lull in the action is really hurting business, but the big-time stars that will be returning to the roster should alleviate those issues.

Undertaker’s Return Date Revealed
While there has been talk that Undertaker will be at the 1,000th edition of RAW, the WWE has been trying to figure out when to bring the legend back in a wrestling capacity for the eventual buildup to WrestleMania. Reports say his return will be the 2012 Survivor Series.
Question on everybody's mind: Will undertaker be healthy enough?
Our take: After surgeries and years of abuse, Undertaker realizes what his limitations are. With that said, he also knows how to keep himself out of trouble in the ring and knows how to keep himself healthy.
Hype meter: 5 out of 5 dead men walking
The possibility that Undertaker could return to the WWE for upwards of four months in late 2012 through early 2013 is amazing. If he comes into this next run as fit as he did at WrestleMania 28, this will be every WWE fan’s dream.

Mark Henry and Rey Mysterio, Come on Down!
While the biggest name returning is always going to be Undertaker, two more huge names are coming off the shelf soon. Both Rey Mysterio and Mark Henry will likely be returning to the WWE on the 1,000th edition of the show.
Question on everybody's mind: Do the fans care?
Our take: While the majority of smart wrestling fans don’t really like Mysterio, he sells merchandise and the kids love him. As for Henry, the massive star was as relevant as he’d ever been in his career before his injury, so the hope is that he can still carry that momentum.
Hype meter: 4 out of 5 Mark Henry 619s (just imagine that)
Henry and Mysterio are two very different stars that are greatly needed. Rey offers a big-time face that can sell to the kids in the audience, and Mark is the monster heel that WWE loves.
Having them back will be good for the company’s bottom line; that’s for sure.
