Arsenal Transfer News: Loaning Joel Campbell is Right Move for Gunners' Future
Joel Campbell is one of Costa Rica's brightest young stars, and he appears to have an encouraging future at the club level. Last year, Arsenal loaned him to French club Lorient where he scored three goals in 25 games.
This year it appears the Gunners will loan him out again. Instead of Ligue I, Campbell will take his services to Real Betis of La Liga.
The 20-year-old striker told Fox TV (per Sports World Report) this, but Arsenal has not confirmed the move.

"Arsenal youngster Joel Campbell will move to Real Betis on loan for next season, according to the 20-year old.
"
Campbell wasn't going to receive playing time in Emirates Stadium this year. Even if the Gunners don't retain Robin van Persie at the top of their attack, Olivier Giroud will take over striking duties. Campbell's dynamic talent would be wasted with Wenger's squad this year, but he will gain valuable experience with Real Betis.
According to the report, Wenger sees Campbell as part of his club's future. At just 20 years old, there is no reason to rush it. Allowing him to toil away on the bench would be a waste, and it could be a detriment to his considerable potential.
Campbell's versatility (can play at the top, or on the wing) will be very beneficial to Arsenal in the coming years. At the very least, he is a very nice piece of insurance moving forward.
This benefits both sides. Real Betis gets a chance to improve their attack, and Arsenal gets to develop one of their best young players.
Gunner fans will be very happy with what Campbell becomes, and his loan history has enhanced that dramatically.
