Kicking off our transfer news is the latest report that Villas-Boas is interested in signing Brazillian wonderkid Oscar from Internacional.

The 20-year-old is considered one of the brightest young prospects in world football and almost signed at Queens Park Rangers earlier last year, with a work permit rejection keeping from a move to the Premier League.

Spurs will have to offer more than £20 million for the youngster, who Internacional have already rejected one bid for. He is seen as a strong replacement for Luka Modric, should Tottenham lose their Croatian midfielder over the transfer window.

Rumored to be leaving Tottenham for Real Madrid, Luka Modric might not be moving to the Spanish champions after all.

Current Real Madrid player Nuri Sahin was expected to be used as a sweetener in the deal for Modric by Madrid, but the Turkish midfielder has stated he doesn't want to move to the North London club and would rather remain a bench player at Madrid.

With Madrid unlikely to meet Spurs asking price of £40 million for Modric, it appears that any deal involving the Spanish team and Tottenham is nowhere near complete.

Tottenham misfit Giovanni dos Santos is rumored to be making a move to Malaga over the summer transfer window as the cashed-up Spanish side stepped in to prevent dos Santos moving to Atletico Madrid.

Malaga are believed to have offered a £5 million deal for the 23-year-old, who was once a Barcelona youngster but failed to fit in and shine at the North London club.

According to Russian star Alan Dzagoev's agent and father, Tottenham have made an offer for the youngster with a deal around £15 million rumored from Spurs.

The 22-year-old's father has warned him about making a brash move to the English Premier League however, stating that he would be wise to make sure he was going to get adequate minutes on the pitch and a decent contract—having seen first-hand the poor decision made by Yuri Zhirkov to go and sit on the bench at Stamford Bridge.

The Jan Vertonghen saga looks set to continue, with nobody really sure as to where the Belgian international will end up next season. He looked certain to sign with Spurs despite their lack of a manager next season, but then was going back to Ajax after it was reported no deal was agreed upon.

The latest is that the defender is taking Ajax to court, with his lawyer believing he is well within his right to make the move to White Hart Lane. It seems like this one isn't going to be over any time soon.

Former Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge is also being linked with a move to Tottenham as Rafael van der Vaart nears his exit at the club.

Spurs are rumored to be putting together a £10 million bid for the striker, who is believed to have a strong relationship with former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas. Speaking of which...

Andre Villas-Boas is officially the new manager at Tottenham, after the club posted the confirmation early this morning via their Twitter.

The North London club are believed to have offered a four-year deal to Villas-Boas, with the main goal to win his way back in to Champions League football—ironic really, because it was a Champions League incident that saw him removed from Chelsea by owner Roman Abramovich.

Spurs are also expected to announce that coach Tim Sherwood will become the director of football—allowing Villas-Boas to work solely with the players in preparation for the upcoming season.
