WWE News: Maxine Confirms and Comments on Her Departure
On Friday afternoon, Maxine released a series of tweets about her current situation:
We have come to terms on my release. Its been a ride I want to thank @wwe for the experience and understanding on my feelings.
Its not easy saying goodbye. But there are other options at wich I can do. To my fans you may not see me on the WWE screen but on another(;
I want to do nothing but get the real chance to entertain all of you...sometimes you have to make that chance for yourself!!
I want to take all of you with me...so I hope you all understand why i made my decision
Im not going to another wrestling company that is not in my plans!!! I didnt ask for my release to go to another company
At the end of the day, she has to be happy with her career and where she is in life.
Maxine, real name Karlee Perez, has been a part of the WWE for close to three years. During that time she went from FCW to NXT, with sporadic appearances on Raw.
Perez's character really hasn't grown much since her debut and was becoming stale. She did what she felt was best and asked for her release. The choice makes total sense, especially with the state of the Diva's division and the rumored return of Kelly Kelly.
In the end, she should be happy that she achieved her dream of being in the WWE, and now, she can switch her focus to her next passion.
