Tank Abbot And Ken Shamrock: Back In the Winning Circle

I just watched the free live stream of WAR GOD'S MMA show, hosted by Sherdog, and my dear lord—I hope they were not serious. That was the most horrible event that I have ever seen.

It was like they were trying to fail. The only thing that kept the event going was the promise of Tank Abbot and Ken Shamrock.

Abbot came out with a big goatee and beer gut. He did what he does best—KO people quick. It was a thunderstorm punch to the back of the head—a questionable punch at a questionable event. It landed at the 29 second mark of the first round.

I don't think it was a fix like most. But I do think that they looked the other way to set up Abbot vs. Shamrock.

Abbot improves to 10-14 (yes improved) and breaks a four fight win streak.

Shamrock fought a mess of a man—380lb Blob. He was a massive man.

Even though he was somewhat of a joke, he did pose a threat to ken. But Ken did look great—his foot movement was great—amazing for a man who is 45.

He dropped the Giant man with a huge right hand, got to side control, and got the arm bar at the one minute mark.

He did not even try for some GnP, he just wanted the sub. Unlike Tank, Shamrock was in amazing shape.

After the fight, Shamrock told the audience that if Tank came to fight him (Shamrock) in the shape he was just in, Shamrock would end his career.

That was a follow up to Tank wishing that it was Ken who he had knocked out. He says he can't wait to smash Ken's face in.

So, we can look forward to (maybe) to two legends way past their prime fighting. Maybe 10 years to late though. But hell, I will still watch and hope for a epic fight (not likely).

Odds are Tank will KO Shamrock pretty quick. Or, Shamrock will catch Tank in a arm bar just as quick.

Even though these two former warriors are well past their prime, it was cool to see them win like they used to—even if they weren't the creme of the crop. It brought back some good memories.

Although, Ken's opponent's flab will haunt my dreams for months to come.
