Daily Buzz —Columbus Blue Jackets: Dan the Man And the Stretch

Nate SantoianniCorrespondent IFebruary 13, 2009

It has been a while since we’ve posted on here. It comes with the amount of other stuff going on in our lives I guess.

So back to hockey eh? Tonight we’ll be blessed with another classic Red Wings vs. Blue Jackets games. Every game is important now. We simply can’t lose especially to Dallas and Saint Louis…Okay I’m over that right now, but honestly you factor in those games plus the four losses to Phoenix this season? It’s a different outlook. Let’s press on though…

How about Danny LaCosta? This guy came up from the minors and pitched two huge wins for us. One of them was a shutout!

I actually have videos of some shifts during the 3-0 win over the Avs. They shall be posted sometime this weekend. Mason is back from the Mono crisis, but we need Dubielewicz to play better… This guy did not impress me that much.

Maybe it was his pads, but then again we did get smacked by the Pens after that. So sorry, but Wade you better pick it up. Otherwise you remain on the helmet line.

Now the last bit to this post before I sign off to finish my Friday and head to the game! Down the stretch we have quite a few teams within a few games of each other from a points perspective.

Here are the teams we really need to watch out for:

Los Angeles
St. Louis (a possible spoiler)

If we continue to win games then we should be okay, but now is when fans need to pay attention to who else is losing and winning. I’m still not sure what will happen because the race is so close…
