The New York Jets boast one of the most talented rosters in football, but due to selfish antics by many players and continued conflict throughout the locker room, the team is predicted by many to have another disappointing season in 2012.

However, the team is led by some strong individuals who manage to pull the team together by terrific performances on the field and an unselfish attitude off of it.

These players are fan favorites, and the hearts of Gang Green supporters lie with them.

Nick Mangold

Since being selected in the first round of the 2006 draft, Mangold has been one of Gang Green's most beloved players.

Mangold has emerged as the league's top center, having appeared in four consecutive Pro Bowls.

The 28-year-old's outstanding toughness and durability has also won the hearts of fans. He has missed just two starts in his six-year career.

Mangold provides the Jets with an outstanding player on the field, as well as an admirable leader in the locker room.

Tim Tebow

Despite what the haters may suggest, Tebow is a terrific man, athlete and teammate.

Tebow has overcome physical limitations and achieved a whole lot in his brief professional career.

The Florida product's ability to defy critics has garnered him praise throughout the country.

Tebow had the top-selling jersey in the NFL throughout this offseason, making him one of the most popular players in the league.

The former Heisman Trophy winner is an unbelievable leader and he always puts the team ahead of himself.

His selflessness and desire to win make him a fan favorite in the Big Apple.

Darrelle Revis

Darrelle Revis puts himself ahead of the team, as has threatened to hold out of training camp for the second time in three seasons.

However, the cornerback's phenomenal play has made him a fan favorite in Gotham.

Revis is arguably the best defensive player in football and has appeared in four consecutive Pro Bowls.

Without the Pittsburgh product manning the outside, the Jets defense would regress significantly.

David Harris

David Harris is quickly emerging as one of the game's most complete linebackers.

The former second-round pick led all inside linebackers in both interceptions and sacks last season and has a knack for making big plays at crucial times.

Harris also sets a terrific example in the locker room. Throughout the team's blowup last year, Harris remained calm and never called out any teammates.

Jets fans adore the Michigan product's outstanding effort, superb play and team-first attitude.

John Connor

John Connor may not have made a big impact in the regular season in his brief NFL career, but he is still among Gang Green's most popular players.

New York fans fell in love with Connor's admirable hustle and bone-crushing hits during HBO's Hard Knocks a few offseasons ago.

With both the fanbase and the coaching staff behind him, it's only a matter of time before Connor breaks out.

Honorable Mentions: Joe McKnight, Aaron Maybin, Sione Pouha, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Dustin Keller
