Liverpool's Daniel Agger: Manchester United Odds On for the Premier League Title

It appears Manchester United have gained a big psychological advantage in the hunt for the Premier League title, after Liverpool defender Daniel Agger conceded the Red Devils are looking very strong so far this season.

Liverpool are currently two points behind United in the Premier League table, but the club from Manchester have a game in hand, and a win on Wednesday against Fulham could push them a massive five points ahead in the title hunt.

United have won their last eight matches, and speaking to Ekstra Bladet, Agger admitted his team's arch-rivals are looking very impressive.

He said: "I take my hat off to United. They have showed scary strength and have many strings to play on.

"They are the most stable and they win the close games."

A psychological advantage seems clear, and I have to agree with the big Dane that Manchester United have indeed shown "scary strength", and not just in the Premier League.

The Reds centre-back went on to say his side cannot afford any more slip-ups, and must beat United in that all important clash at Old Trafford next month.

"If we want to keep our chances for the trophy alive we can't draw in so many games," added Agger.

"Manchester United could be five points ahead of us if they win next Wednesday's game against Fulham.

"Because of that we will have to beat them at Old Trafford."

With both Chelsea's John Terry and Liverpool's Daniel Agger praising Manchester United and saying their sides should replicate that type of form, it would appear to most, well certainly amongst the Premier League players, that United are odds on for an astonishing 11th Premier League title.
